Areox Somnium update

Well iv managed to do one of the harder scenes to do for my animation. But the most annoying this about doing this animation is the quality of the animation is destroyed by the crappy codex H.264. The blacks turn to a depleted grey and the every thing just looks rubbish. If i render out in animation or none, it looks nice a crisp. No dilation to the tones and lighting. But i have to live with it for its requirements. Here are the comparisons of H.264 and None.

Steely Magnesite

Me and Pete went to Hartlepool today and got some footage and photos of this amazingly destroyed place. No security or fencying. Nothing to stop someone falling down deadly drops, but we went. Traversing the deadly planes of Hartlepool and then climbing to the likes of the cooling towers and so on. Bit dangerous but nothing ventured nothing gained. Here are some pics of the place.

Live Brief

I decided to do a live brief on the Ratchet and Clank All 4 One character redesign. You downloaded the template of both characters and well colour them up how you would if you had never seen them before. Well i decided to create a completely new armour set for ratchet. And here it is i hope you like it :D

My knights armour in Cinema 4D :D Just need to figure out of to get the textures across from zbrush.

Also i have pretty much sorted the child walk cycle i really cant be fiddling around with it now need to get the animation together.

Armour Multi Met

I figured out how to change the material on certain parts of the mesh. Now the cloth looks like cloth and the armour metal.

I decided to go with the double shader material with the armour and i have also put the cloth cross on the armour and i really like the outcome. I just need to put some runes or symbols on the cloth to make it more dynamic.

Here is the armour well most of it there is a massive grill and head peace to go on but master peter says i should create it in another doc. But here are the two materials that i cant decided which one i prefer. Also i reckon when he is put together the poly count is going to be masssisve.

Here is a little glimps of my progression on the little MEGA SUPER REALLY AWSOME BEYOND EVIL KNIGTS! armour so far. I like the progression i have made with the help of my master peter.

Progress

I have gone back to the old walk cycle and run cycle. The run cycle wasnt that bad it was alright just needs a few tweaks, however the walk cycle was terrible i cant believe i did that. I have done no tweaking just started it again and it looks better already. Hopefully i will be able to get the animation in motion this week and start putting the other scenes together. The main ones that will take the most time are the ones were the child is running from the roots. And when he attacks it, but all love is fair in war so i say bring it one man cold you cant stop me!

O yeah i have man cold, flu, plague what ever you want to call it.

More zbrush playing

I have started to get the know my way around zbrush a bit now since the master Peter helped me and this is what i have come out with. Its only a shoulder plate but i really am please with its out come since am terrible at modelling 3d stuff :D

Well whilst waiting for stuff to render i thought i may as well get the hang of Zbrush and this is what i came out with. I reckon i could do far better than this but its a start right?

Yeah well this is what minds create when there is no tutor around hahah Well its only a still of me and lee but you can guess what the theme is.. right? Any ways is not complete yet but hoping to get it nailed tomorrow :D
