I havnt drawen today thats terrible must draw tomorrow then with out a question!!!! I need to finish the dragon piece am working and upload the second part of the speed paint :O

Concept 1

I have finished the first concept for the animation i am working on. Am not aiming for to much detial mainly the mood the of each side.

I have just finished this even though i had been working on it for quite some time now and i have a video of how i do the detial on it. I will be uiploading the video later on but at the same time i migth do another speed paint of everything from blank canvas to final image.

UPdate

Here is a quick update from the piece am working on at the moment its still at the begining needs loads more detial and refined. But i will have to kill some of the detial to speed the prossec up. But not by much more like the detials as below.

New animation in the works

I have already started to draw out some concepts for a animation relating to my old concept pieces i done awhile ago. The idea is that colour is going to be a strong part to this entire animation. Plus the style will be done as if you were reading a graphic novel with only certain things moving like the clouds and the flags. I will be updating my blog every time i do something new for it. I have got a script yet or any story boreds. These are the things i will be working on next after these two images are coloured up.

End of Year Evaluation

So 1st year is at a end and well i have enjoyed the experience and getting to learn some intresting technuiqes and new programmes. The biggest effect to my skills now is knowing how to build a basic 3D character and rigging it to walk. This at first was a real struggle and still is in ways. But from the first time i first touch the programme i found my sefl a bit lost. Now i can go straight to work without trying to figure out what all these tabs mean.

I got to learn some Premiere Pro which is now one of my favorite programmes to do video editing along with After Effects. My photoshop skills have grown in my own personal way. I feel my strenghts are still in photoshop and 2d work not so much 3d.

This being said i am still very intrested in what i could do in the near future with the likes of Cinema 4D.

Now i will go about doing a few personal projects of mine that will be very artistic and not so much animation. I will also be making a new 3D model as i stated in the previous blog.

3D animation

Its fair to say that my 3D walk cycle is rubish and no wear near to my personal standars!! But this cant be helped with my current progress. I will have to use this experience as a prime example of how long and very time consuming 3D character animation takes. This being siad i will be making a character i will really enjoy building since he is a very old character design of mine. Vincent Verebrus here is a skecth of him from a few years back.

Talk about stress

Had a bit of a stressfull couple of week with moving out and trying to keep up to speed with my college work. I hope am not to far behind! But i have the bones rigged and mving fine just need to wav paint it then animate it. Then all the loverly papper work..... the joys. I believe i have my current and future trends sorted hitting 800 words. Although the last 400-300 words are about me ranting on about how the animation and art is a fashion now not a passion. But what can i say i have old morrals and views.

I suppose i will see how far behind i am on monday and then work my arse off for the week!!!
